Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images are read, resized, and encoded in your browser. Large images can still use substantial local memory while the GIF is being created.

Why can a GIF look different from the original images?

GIF frames use a palette of up to 256 colors and the tool fits each image to the first frame’s aspect ratio, so some color or crop differences are expected.
